Artist Statement on this series of paintings:

This series of ovoid paintings depicts the natural cycle of life, from creation, preservation, to destruction. Staying aligned with my fascination for “paint drips” on human figures, I draw inspiration from nature and science, experimenting with liquids with varying viscosity, opacity, and color, to achieve the look of blood (creation), amber (preservation) and tar (destruction). The faces of these human figures are either concealed or covered by shadows, removing personal identity out of the equation, and instead highlighting the emotion through each figure’s fetal-like posture, and the way the liquid creates a veil of unfamiliarity on the naked bodies.
